About Us

The Coastal Winds is an all-adult community wind band based in Gulfport Mississippi. Organized in the summer of 2023, this community Wind Ensemble is comprised of practicing music educators and community musicians residing throughout the state of Mississippi. With members traveling from across the state to rehearsals held in Gulfport, the Coastal Winds is a testament to the dedication and passion of its members.

 

The band hosts two concerts annually, showcasing the talents of its members and the rich musical heritage of the wind band. From classical to contemporary, the Coastal Winds repertoire is diverse and engaging, appealing to a wide range of musical tastes. The band's commitment to excellence is evident in every performance, and audiences are consistently impressed by the quality of the music and the musicianship of the performers.
